Cholet – Cholet (29.5 km) Click for route map
We have definitely been through Cholet, on the River Moine, but I don’t remember much about it. The Eglise Notre Dame dominates the town centre. Apparently Cholet is famous for its Japanese gardens at Maulevrier, the largest in Europe and established between 1899-1913, which look well worth visiting. Perhaps we ought to pay Cholet a second visit – it could be good for an overnight stop.
